How to Use This Tool
- Enter the total number of questions on the test.
- Enter the number of questions answered correctly.
- Your percentage, incorrect count, and letter grade appear instantly.
How It Works
percentage = (correct answers / total questions) × 100
Incorrect answers are total questions minus correct answers. The letter grade uses the default scale of A (90–100), B (80–89), C (70–79), D (60–69), and F (below 60).
Example
A test has 50 questions, and a student answers 45 correctly.
percentage = 45 / 50 × 100 = 90%, incorrect = 5, letter grade = A.
Benefits
- Instant percentage and letter grade, no manual math.
- Clearly shows how many questions were missed.
- Works for tests, quizzes, and homework scored by count.
Important Notes
The default letter-grade scale shown here is common in US schools but is not universal. Individual teachers, schools, and districts may use a different scale or apply a curve — use this tool as a quick estimate and confirm your grade with your teacher.
