How It Works
hourly rate = annual salary / (hours per week × weeks per year)
Weekly pay is the hourly rate times hours per week; biweekly doubles the weekly amount; monthly divides the annual salary by 12.
Example
A $52,000 annual salary at 40 hours per week for 52 weeks:
hourly = 52,000 / (40 × 52) = 52,000 / 2,080 = $25.00/hr, weekly = $1,000, monthly ≈ $4,333.33.
Benefits
- Compare a salaried offer to an hourly job.
- Adjust for part-time schedules or unpaid time off.
